Michael Smirnov

Michael Smirnov has a strong background in project management, system engineering, and algorithm development. Michael started their career at CipherActive in 2000 as a Programmer, and then moved on to IDF as a Programmer from 2003 to 2005. At Trigmed, they served as an Algorithm Manager from 2006 to 2013.

In 2013, Michael joined Check-Cap Ltd. as a System Engineer, where they had overall technical leadership and responsibility for the technical realization of a new platform. Michael drove refinement and translation of user requirements, conducted system-level design reviews, and owned system-level defect analysis and remediation. From 2017 to 2018, they served as a Project Manager, delivering projects on time and within budget, and managing project teams.

From 2018 to 2020, Michael held the role of Group Manager - Algo-Physics-Analysis at Check-Cap Ltd., where they were the expert authority in radiation detection and imaging quality. Michael also led cross-functional teams, mentored and provided support, and developed automated tools for clinical data analysis and image processing. Currently, they are the Director of Project Management at Check-Cap Ltd., overseeing technical leadership, project planning, and progress tracking.

Michael Smirnov attended the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2003. During this time, they pursued a field of study in Mathematics and Computer Science. However, there is no specific mention of him obtaining a degree during this period.
