Ian Zapolsky

Ian Zapolsky is an engineer at Check. Ian previously worked as a senior software engineer and team lead at AppNexus from July 2015 to September 2019. Before that, they were a software engineer intern at Oyster Inc. from May 2014 to August 2014, where they built search for the Oyster website with Backbone.js and helped to build the Oyster Web Reader with Ember.js on the front end and Python/Django on the back end. Ian also worked as a jazz piano instructor at Seattle JazzED from January 2012 to May 2012, where they tutored four middle school students in piano technique, jazz improvisation, and music theory.

Ian Zapolsky attended Columbia University, where they earned a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science with a Minor in Jazz Studies. Ian also holds a High School Diploma from Garfield High School.
