Kevin Weatherston

Kevin Weatherston is the current VP of Payments at Checkfront. Prior to this, they were the Chief Operating Officer & VP Technology of North America for Bambora from October 2015 to December 2018. In this role, they were responsible for leading the daily oversight of Customer Support, Boarding, Risk & Compliance, Software Development, IT, Finance and HR teams. Kevin also developed and implemented strategies, processes and procedures for driving the growth and sustainability of the organization.

Kevin was selected to take over the division after the founder exited the business, causing a disruption in operations and demotivated staff. Kevin restructured the organizational culture to reinvigorate staff and refocus efforts on driving performance and productivity improvements. As a result of their leadership, the division was recognized as ViaTech Employer of the Year (2018) and achieved Top Employee Net Promoter Score (55%) for the entire global organization.

When Kevin assumed the role of COO, the division was experiencing stalled growth results. Kevin supported new sales, development strategies and established cost control, resulting in double-digit growth in the first year. Kevin drove 10% YOY growth in 2017 and 14% in 2018 while maintaining cost control and increasing EBITDA. In July 2018, the division surpassed 40K active merchants, exceeding corporate expectations.

Kevin Weatherston has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Waterloo.

Kevin Weatherston reports to Jason Morehouse, Co-Founder & CEO. and Craig Dagnall - Director of Payments Operations reports to Kevin Weatherston. They work with Javeria Aslam - People Partner, Mike Huffman - Group Product Manager, and Advait Gupte - Sales Development Representative.
