Merili Törnqvist

Merili Törnqvist has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Merili currently works at Checkin.com as a Business Development & Partner Success Manager since September 2022.

Before that, they were with Betsson Group from 2018 to 2022, holding multiple positions. Merili started as an Affiliate Manager for Betsafe Baltics & Poland from January 2018 to May 2020. Merili then became a Business Project Manager for the launch of supercasino.ee from January 2020 to December 2021. Their responsibilities included ensuring alignment between legal, compliance, and business requirements with the third-party platform provider's capabilities. Finally, they served as the Commercial Product Team Manager for Games of Chance in the CEECA region from January 2022 to September 2022. In this role, they led a team responsible for driving ROI and engagement through innovative campaigns and site optimization while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Prior to their time at Betsson Group, they worked for Comskill as a Content and Affiliate Manager from July 2017 to December 2017. Their responsibilities included brand ownership of Kasiino.com, managing content strategy, social media, and SEO. Merili also handled media buying and performance analysis for the Estonian market, as well as managing a freelance content writer and liaising with casino affiliate managers.

From 2015 to 2017, they worked at Betsson Group again, starting as a Senior Customer Service Agent from January 2015 to May 2016. Merili then transitioned to the role of Quality Assurance Analyst & New Employee Trainer from May 2016 to June 2017.

Merili began their career as an HR & Administration Management intern at Fortel Group of Companies from December 2014 to January 2015. Their duties included updating employment contracts, writing salary cheques, calculating leave and sick pay, assisting accountants, and performing general daily office duties.

Finally, they worked as a Host at Sea Life München for Merlin Entertainments plc from March 2014 to November 2014.

Merili Törnqvist obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Romance Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Tallinn University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their secondary education at Kadrioru Saksa Gümnaasium from 1998 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Merili has obtained various certifications, including Personalijuhtimine from Softekon OÜ in July 2021, and a range of LinkedIn certifications in topics such as Coaching Skills for Leaders and Managers, HR Guidelines Everyone Should Know, and Improving Your Listening Skills, all acquired in June 2021. Merili also holds certifications in project management from UC Irvine and organizational behavior from IESE Business School, obtained in 2020.
