Mike Smythe

Mike Smythe has a diverse background in marketing, with experience spanning various industries and roles. Mike is currently working as the Global Senior Tech Alliances Marketing Manager at Checkmarx. Prior to this, they worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in multiple roles, including Global Strategic Alliances Partner Marketing, Technology Partner Marketing Lead EMEA, and Senior Partner ISV Marketing Manager, UKI.

Before joining AWS, Mike served as the Head of Field Marketing, Channels & Alliances EMEA at CenturyLink, where they were responsible for building a comprehensive partner program. Mike also worked as a Channel Marketing Manager for CenturyLink, focusing on the EMEA region.

In addition to their corporate roles, Mike has worked as a Global Channel Marketing Manager at Avast Software, leading the global Channel Marketing team for Avast Business. Before that, they operated as a Marketing Consultant in the IT and Telecoms industry, executing integrated marketing campaigns and utilizing various marketing methods.

Mike's previous experience also includes roles at FAST.supply as a Marketing & Technology Consultant, at MGM Advantage as a Marketing Officer and Chief Designer, at Yo Wireless as the Head of Marketing, and at Capstan Communications Limited as the Marketing Director and Marketing Manager. At Capstan Communications Limited, they spearheaded various initiatives, including expanding the reseller partner network, developing product portfolios, and launching unified communications software applications.

Mike Smythe attended Gravesend Grammar School from 1996 to 2001, where they obtained their General Certificate of Education (GCSE). Mike then attended Dartford Grammar from 2001 to 2003, where they earned their International Baccalaureate Diploma. The highers they studied during this time included Maths, History, and Business Management. From 2003 to 2006, Mike attended the University of East Anglia, where they obtained their Bachelor's Degree (BSc) in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Mike also has an additional certification in Public Speaking from LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art).
