Samantha Stalker FCCA

Samantha Stalker FCCA has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Samantha is currently serving as the Director of Financial Control at Checkout.com, a position they started in September 2021.

Prior to their current role, Samantha held the position of Senior Vice President Finance at Haitong International (UK) Ltd for a period of ten years, from February 2011 to June 2021. During their time at Haitong, they started as a Group Financial Controller and built a strong finance team, working closely with the FD. Samantha played a crucial role in the integration process when the company was acquired by Haitong and was subsequently promoted to Assistant FD. Samantha's accomplishments at Haitong include providing management information, leading cost reduction projects, optimizing finance systems, and handling complex regulatory challenges, such as MiFID II.

Before joining Haitong International, Samantha worked as a Financial Accountant at Eden Rock Group from June 2007 to February 2011. During their four-year tenure, they passed their ACCA qualifications and improved the efficiency of key financial accounting areas. Samantha achieved significant milestones like streamlining AP/AR processes and saving time in fund return calculations through automation.

Samantha started their career as a Senior Finance Assistant at The Children's Society in October 2004 and worked there until June 2007. Prior to that, they held positions as an Accounts Assistant at FESCO LINES AUSTRALIA PTY LIMITED from April 2004 to June 2004, and as an Accounts Clerk at Atlantic Container Line from August 2003 to March 2004.

Throughout their career, Samantha Stalker has demonstrated their financial expertise and the ability to manage finance functions, provide incisive management information, and drive operational efficiencies.

Samantha Stalker FCCA completed their education at two institutions. From 1998 to 2000, they attended Rainford Sixth Form College, where they pursued A-levels in Mathematics, English Literature, and Psychology. Following that, they enrolled at the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School from 2000 to 2003, attaining a BSc (Hons) degree in Accounting & Finance.

In terms of additional certifications, Samantha Stalker FCCA obtained the ACCA / FCCA qualification from ACCA in November 2009. Moreover, in April 2017, they acquired the CF1 Certification from the Financial Conduct Authority.
