Vanessa Veerasamy, CAMS, is a Senior Internal Control Analyst at Checkout.com since June 2020, with a strong focus on internal processes, compliance, and controls related to anti-money laundering and employee ethics. Prior to this, Vanessa held positions including Analyst II in Assurance and Investigations, where responsibilities included identifying deficiencies in control procedures and evaluating compliance with legal requirements, and Compliance Analyst, dealing with merchant risk assessments and regulatory compliance. Earlier experience at SBM Bank Mauritius as a Business Process Engineer involved evaluating and improving banking processes. Vanessa started a career at Accenture as a Senior Accounting Officer, becoming a subject matter expert in transaction processing. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the Open University of Mauritius, Vanessa’s education complements extensive professional expertise in banking, compliance, and internal controls.
