Trenton Birch

Trenton Birch has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Trenton is currently the Director and Founding Member of Friends of Hemp South Africa since September 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of Cheeba Africa starting from May 2019. Additionally, they worked as the South Africa Director and Founding Member of Bridges for Music, an international non-profit organization working with electronic music to empower disadvantaged communities, starting from March 2012. Before that, Trenton was the CEO and Founder of Black Mango Music, a Cape Town-based entertainment company specializing in music and brand experiential and digital strategy. Trenton also managed the band Trenton and Free Radical and ran the record labels Black Mango Music and Afrolution. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director and Partner of SAE Institute South Africa, the largest provider of Creative Media Education, from January 2012 to March 2019. Additionally, they worked as the Managing Director of Pierce Smartfusion, an experiential and events agency focused on digital and social media amplification, from November 2009 to January 2012. Trenton has also worked as a Consultant/Freelancer and as the Operations Director of Balance Marketing. Trenton has held various other roles, including Operations Director/Head of Entertainment at RPM and Head of Project Management at Frukt Music.

Trenton Birch attended the University of Johannesburg from 1992 to 1996, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Public Relations.
