Beth Reitmeyer

Teaching Artist at Cheekwood

Beth Reitmeyer is an accomplished artist and educator with extensive experience in teaching and leadership within the art community. Since August 2013, Reitmeyer has served as an instructor at Western Kentucky University, teaching a range of courses including Drawing, Screen Printing, and Art Appreciation. In August 2023, Reitmeyer began working as an art teacher at Drakes Creek Middle School, having previously taught art at Briarwood Elementary and Cumberland Trace Elementary. Additionally, Reitmeyer has been involved with the COOP Gallery as President and member since March 2022, overseeing exhibitions and programming. Reitmeyer also has a background in artistic mentorship and freelance work, serving as a teaching artist at Cheekwood and an artist mentor with the Frist Art Museum. With educational credentials that include an MFA from Northwestern University and a BFA from Penn State University, Reitmeyer continues to contribute significantly to the arts and education sectors.

Cheekwood
