Cheekwood
Valerie Cecil currently serves as Registrar at Cheekwood since August 2023. Previously, Valerie held multiple positions at Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery over nearly eight years, including Curator of Collections and Museum Collections Manager/Registrar, focusing on the management of 19th Century artifacts. Earlier experience includes roles as Gift Shop Associate at Living Spaces Furniture and the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Administrative Assistant at The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, and Medical Records Clerk II at Centerstone, where responsibilities included digitizing medical records. Valerie holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Art History from Middle Tennessee State University, obtained between 1998 and 2007.

Cheekwood is a 55-acre botanical garden and art museum located on the historic Cheek estate. Originally built as the home of Leslie and Mabel Cheek in 1929, Cheekwood is one of the finest examples of an American Country Place Era estate.
