Heath Merlak

Heath Merlak is a seasoned actuarial professional with extensive experience in retirement consulting. Currently serving as Principal Consulting Actuary at Cheiron since August 2022, Heath previously held the position of National Defined Benefit Practice Leader at Nyhart, part of FuturePlan by Ascensus, from January 2016 to August 2022. Prior to that, Heath served as Principal and Senior Retirement Consultant at Nyhart from January 2011 to January 2016 and as Principal and Retirement Consultant at Hewitt Associates LLC from February 1995 to January 2011. Heath's academic background includes a degree from the University of Illinois, earned between 1990 and 1994.
