Abs Shahid

Abs Shahid has extensive experience in technology and design roles. They are currently serving as the Director of Technology at CHEK Institute since May 2021. Prior to this, Abs worked as a Design and Development Manager at Digital 22 Online Limited from June 2019 to May 2021, where they oversaw design and development work for clients' inbound marketing and led a team to deliver profitable websites. From October 2015 to June 2019, Abs worked at Recode IT Ltd as a Front End Developer (IT Lead), where they managed IT systems, developed and implemented systems and procedures, and collaborated with project managers and lead developers to deliver innovative solutions. Abs also has experience as a Technical Consultant at Friendly Integrated Solutions Ltd, Senior Graphics Designer at Atkins, and IT/Media Lead at Positive Start. They also worked as a Web Developer and Graphics & Web Consultant at NW Design Studios and as a Web & Graphics Consultant at MAS Media UK. Early in their career, Abs worked as a PCCS Computer Engineer at the NHS and as an IT & Network Engineer at Lerryn Data Technology.

Abs Shahid completed their education history with multiple degrees and certifications. From 1991 to 1996, they attended Alder Grange High School and obtained GCSE's in 10 subjects. Following this, from 1996 to 1998, they enrolled in Bacup & Rawtenstall Grammar and completed their A-Levels, although the field of study is not specified. Additionally, from 2009 to 2012, they attended The University of Bolton and acquired a BSc MWD degree in Multimedia Web Development. Furthermore, in February 2013, they obtained the Professional Member of the British Computer Society certification from The Chartered Institute of IT.
