Matthew Hughes

Matthew Hughes has a diverse background in finance and education, currently serving as a Paraprofessional in the STEP program at Chelmsford Public Schools since September 2024, following a role as a Math Interventionist at the same institution from January to May 2024. Prior to his work in education, Matthew held significant leadership positions in the corporate sector, including Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer at HealthAxis Group from May 2022 to December 2023, and Chief Financial Officer at HealthEdge Software, Inc. from December 2008 to May 2021. Additional experience includes senior financial roles at Decrane Aerospace Corporation, The GolfWorks, Frontstep, MPW Industrial Services, and Ernst & Young. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Business Administration from Thiel College, graduating in 1992.
