Lee Beard has a diverse work experience in the art industry. Lee is currently working as an Academy presenter at London Art Studies since September 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Head of History of Art at Cheltenham Ladies' College starting from September 2018. Lee has also contributed as a contributing editor, author, and advisor at Ben Nicholson Catalogue Raisonné since 2008. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a freelance project editor and contributing author at Phaidon Press. Additionally, they have worked as a visiting lecturer and British Academy Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Courtauld Institute of Art from 2004 to 2008.
Lee Beard has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History of Art and Architecture from The University of Manchester, which was obtained between 1995 and 1998. Following this, Lee obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree from the Courtauld Institute of Art, U. of London, from 1998 to 1999. Finally, Lee earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the field of Ben Nicholson: Art, Design and the Modern Interior from the Courtauld Institute of Art, U. of London, between 2000 and 2004.
