Zeid Shaban

Zeid Shaban is an experienced professional in food security and international development, currently serving as a Regional Food Security Specialist at the Famine Early Warning Systems Network since September 2020 and as a Senior Regional Remote Monitoring Specialist for Chemonics International since March 2024. Previous roles include a Cooperation and Communication Consultant at Stone Soup Consulting, Business Development Manager at Tuteme, and External Relations Projects Associate for UNRWA. Zeid has also worked as a Communications Manager at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization and as a Communications & Outreach Officer with Mercy Corps. Additionally, Zeid coordinated food security initiatives for the Jordan Hashemite Charitable Organisation in partnership with the United Nations World Food Program. Zeid holds a Master’s degree in International Development from the University of Edinburgh School of Social and Political Science and a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from The University of British Columbia.
