Jane Yang

Jane Yang has extensive work experience in the field of chemistry and drug discovery. Jane started their career as a Visiting Scientist at the University of Basel, Switzerland in 1990. Jane then pursued postdoctoral research fellowships in Organic Chemistry at Washington State University from 1995 to 1996 and at the University of Idaho from 1996 to 2000. Afterward, they worked as a Research Chemist at the University of Florida from 2000 to 2002. Yang then transitioned to the pharmaceutical industry and held the role of Senior Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry/Drug Discovery at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals from 2002 to 2011. Jane then worked as a Senior Research Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry/Drug Discovery at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from 2011 to 2012. Currently, Yang is employed as the Senior Director of Discovery Chemistry at ChemPartner since 2013.

Jane Yang obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Organic Chemistry from Beijing Normal University in 1984. Jane then pursued a Master of Science degree in Medicinal Chemistry at Peking Union Medical College, which they completed in 1987. Later on, they furthered their education and obtained a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Wales in the United Kingdom in 1994.
