Brian Lawhorn

Brian Lawhorn has a strong background in chemistry, with experience in both academic and industry settings. Brian most recently worked as the Director of Discovery Chemistry at SpringWorks Therapeutics, starting in April 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Chemistry at Ribometrix Inc. from March 2021 to April 2022.

Brian also has a long history with GSK, where they worked from 2006 to 2021. During their time at GSK, they held various roles including Scientific Team Leader & GSK Fellow from November 2013 to March 2021, Investigator from November 2009 to November 2013, and Principal Scientist from September 2006 to November 2009.

Brian began their career as a Research Associate at The Scripps Research Institute from September 2004 to September 2006. Brian Lawhorn's work experience showcases their expertise in chemistry and their ability to take on leadership positions in research and development.

Brian Lawhorn completed their education in the field of Chemistry. Brian first obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Richmond between 1995 and 1999. Brian then pursued further studies at Cornell University, earning a PhD in Organic Chemistry from 1999 to 2004. Lastly, they engaged in postdoctoral research at Scripps Research from 2004 to 2006.
