Chemspec Chemicals is one of the leading manufacturers of personal care ingredients used in skin and hair products, and intermediates used in antihypertensive drugs. The company is one of the largest manufacturers of UV absorbers globally. Ingredients are manufactured in factories in Taloja and Mahad, both in Maharashtra, and the company’s global distribution network in the last three fiscals were spread across 43 countries in North America, Europe, LATAM, the APAC region (including Japan), the Middle East and Africa. Under the FMCG segment, Chemspec Chemicals produces UV filters which are primarily used in sunscreens, vitamins used in skincare and ingredients used in shampoos. Johnson & Son, etc. Under the Pharmaceutical segment, Chemspec Chemicals produces intermediates for sartans, a class of pharmaceutical medicine used to treat high blood pressure.
