Van Stanard is a seasoned network engineer with extensive experience in monitoring and managing over 200 circuits for the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) across various roles since 1989. Currently serving as Network Engineer IV at Chenega Technical Innovations, LLC, since December 2015, Van has led the BIE Contract Network Engineering efforts and collaborated with Verizon to ensure continuous connectivity for schools. Van's prior roles included Network Engineer IV at Cherokee Nation Businesses and Network Engineer at Chenega Corporation, where responsibilities included circuit monitoring and transitioning technologies to very-high-performance Backbone Network Service (vBNS). Education includes a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Strayer University-Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a Minor in Computers from Saint Pauls College.
