Debrah Makinde

Research Assistant at CHEO Research Institute

Debrah Makinde began their work experience in January 2020 as a Research Assistant at the CHEO Research Institute. Debrah then worked as a Long-Term Care Worker at Bruyère from September to December 2020. During the same period, they also held the position of Senior Peer Mentor at Carleton University from September to November 2020.

Debrah Makinde attended Carleton University from 2017 to 2021, where they pursued a double major in Biology and Humanities with a minor in Religion. Debrah received additional certifications during their educational journey. In September 2019, they obtained CPR Level C and Standard First Aid certification from the Canadian Red Cross. In August 2020, they received SafeTalk Suicide Prevention certification from LivingWorks. In February 2021, they obtained UOHS - Unite & Ignite certification from the University of Ottawa Health Services - Service de santé de l'Université d'Ottawa. Additionally, in March 2021, Debrah acquired Biomedical Research Ethics certification from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY.
