Buster Cushing

Buster Cushing is a seasoned law enforcement professional with extensive experience in various roles within the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, including positions as Major, Captain, and Lieutenant, focusing on criminal investigations and internal affairs. Currently serving as Chief of Police for the Cherokee County School District and Law Enforcement Advisor for Bond since 2019, Cushing plays a key role in enhancing safety and security in educational settings and advising operational strategies. Cushing holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the University of Georgia and a Master of Public Administration from Columbus State University.
