Mike Allen

Mike Allen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mike is currently employed as a USCG Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) Developer at Cherokee Federal since September 2022. Mike previously worked at TMMG, Inc. in a similar role from October 2019 to October 2022.

Prior to their current role, Mike served as a Facilities Manager at Harbor Montessori School starting from April 2013. Mike has also worked as a Computer Numerical Control Machinist at Union Machine from April 2018 to July 2022.

Mike's early career was in the U.S. Coast Guard, where they held various roles. Mike was a Port Engineer/Contracting Officer Representative for CGC Bertholf and CGC Waesche from September 2017 to September 2018, and a Port Engineer for CGC Healy from July 2012 to September 2017. In these roles, they managed repairs and maintenance for the ships, conducted inspections, and oversaw maintenance availabilities.

Mike's work in the U.S. Coast Guard also included a role at the USCG Response Boat-Medium (RB-M) Project Resident Office (PRO) from June 2005 to June 2010. Here, they specialized in logistics and field support, and contributed to the acquisition logistics for the new 45' Response Boat.

Earlier in their Coast Guard career, Mike served as an Engineering Petty Officer at the USCG Aids to Navigation Team Long Island Sound from July 2000 to June 2004. Prior to that, they worked as a Machinery Technician on USCGC Thunder Bay from July 1998 to June 2000, and on USCGC Redwood from June 1997 to July 1998.

Mike's first role in the Coast Guard was as a Machinery Technician and Small Boat Engineer/Crewman at U.S. Coast Guard Station Woods Hole from June 1994 to June 1997. In this position, they were responsible for engineering and crew duties on various boats, as well as communication watchstanding and inventory control management.

Mike Allen earned an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tacoma Community College, where they attended from 2010 to 2012.
