Bear Christensen

Bear Christensen has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Bear began their career as a Law Clerk at Fredericks, Pelcyger, Hester, and White LLC in 1996 and worked there until 1998. Bear then worked as a Contract Attorney at Thomas A. Polich PC from June 1998 to August 1998, followed by an Associate Attorney role at Roger Keithley PC from September 1998 to December 1998. In 1998, they also worked at Treece, Alfrey, Musat, & Bosworth PC as an Associate Attorney from December 1998 to March 1999.

In 1999, Bear Christensen became a Research Intern at The National Conference of State Legislatures from June 1999 to September 1999. Bear then worked as a Contract Attorney at Maxtor Corporation from September 1999 to June 2001.

From 2002 to 2004, Bear Christensen worked as a Compliance Officer at Santa Clara Pueblo Gaming Commission. During the same period, they also worked as a Freelance Contributor at Winds of Change Magazine.

In 2004, they joined San Felipe's Casino Hollywood as a Compliance Officer and worked there until June 2006.

Since July 2006, Bear Christensen has been associated with Cherokee Nation Entertainment, initially as a Compliance Director and, currently, as the Senior Director of Compliance, a position they have held since January 2021.

Bear Christensen obtained a High School Diploma from Northfield Mount Hermon School in the years 1987 to 1989. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History at Dartmouth College from 1989 to 1993. In 1994, Bear attended the Pre-Law Summer Institute at the American Indian Law Center, earning a certificate in Federal Indian Law. Bear then continued their education at the University of Colorado from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a Juris Doctorate degree in Law. Additionally, Bear Christensen has an executive certification from the UNLV International Gaming Institute's Executive Development Program, although the specific year and month of obtaining this certification are not provided.
