Alex Cacanando

Alex Cacanando serves as a Board Member at the NY Institute of Internal Auditors since June 2019 and has held various leadership roles within the Institute of Internal Audit, including Past President of the New York Chapter and Vice President of Professional Development. In addition to these roles, Alex is currently a Senior Manager in Risk Advisory at Cherry Bekaert LLP, bringing extensive experience from previous positions at KPMG, Protiviti, and various consulting roles. Alex has a strong background in developing training workshops for auditors across multiple industries and has played a key role in facilitating networking opportunities and partnerships within the audit community. Alex holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baruch College.
