Chas Walter

Chas Walter, CPA, is a seasoned tax and accounting professional with 30 years of experience. Currently serving as a Partner at Cherry Bekaert since December 2023, Chas specializes in strategic tax planning, compliance, and accounting for income taxes (ASC 740). Previously, Chas was a Tax Partner at PwC from September 2016 to December 2022, leading teams in tax consulting and planning for multinational corporations across various industries. Before that, Chas served as VP of Finance Operations at Omnicom, providing financial direction for global healthcare marketing agencies, and held the role of Director of Tax, overseeing global tax accounting and compliance. Chas's earlier experience at PwC involved consulting and auditing for publicly traded companies. Chas holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Richmond and a Master of Science in Taxation from Virginia Commonwealth University.
