Rita Calvert is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainable food practices and event coordination. Currently serving as the Farm to Fork Event Coordinator and Advisor for Buy Fresh Buy Local Chesapeake at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation since 2010, Rita combines public speaking with event management. Additionally, since 2009, Rita has contributed as a blogger, food writer, and photographer for Homestead Gardens, while also authoring the book *The Grassfed Gourmet Fires It Up!* and working as a chef and photographer for Eating Fresh Publications. Rita's prior experience includes freelance media production for various companies from 2000 to 2012, focusing on set design and food styling, and sustainable event planning with On The Road with Local Bounty from 2006 to 2009. With a background as a Sustainable Eating and Cooking Teacher from 1980 to 2009, Rita has educated many on sustainable practices and resources in the Chesapeake Region, further demonstrating a commitment to promoting local farms and seasonal cooking.
