Eric Detweiler

Eric Detweiler is a seasoned communications professional with a diverse background in sports journalism and media relations. Currently serving as a Communications Specialist at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum since August 2022, Detweiler previously held the position of Athletics Communications Associate at The George Washington University from August 2017 to August 2022. Previous roles include Freelance Sports Reporter and Sports Reporter at StarNews Media, covering UNC-Wilmington sports, as well as serving as a High School Sports Reporter at The Washington Post. Early career experiences include a Season Media Intern at the Denver Broncos Football Club, Sports Intern roles at The Patriot-News and Baltimore Examiner, and a solid academic foundation from the University of Maryland, completed in 2010.
