Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum
Pete Lesher has been working as the Chief Historian at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum since November 1991. In this role, they are responsible for collecting and cultivating donors for the museum, as well as supporting exhibition teams and generating content for museum publications. Additionally, Pete Lesher has served as a Council Member for the Town of Easton from May 2009 to November 2018. Currently, they are an elected member of the Talbot County Council, starting in December 2018.
Pete Lesher has an A.B. degree in History from Lafayette College. Pete also holds an M.A. degree in History from Columbia University. In 1998, they completed a study program in American Maritime History at Mystic Seaport Museum / Wesleyan University. Additionally, Pete Lesher attended the Museum Leadership Institute from an unspecified year until 2012, where they obtained a degree in Museum Leadership Institute.
