Claims Director, State Of Maryland Operations at Chesapeake Employers' Insurance Company

Tammy Wescott has an extensive work experience history. Tammy started their career in 2003 as a Paralegal at Wilcox & Kettell, specializing in Worker's Compensation, Personal Injury, and Social Security Disability. Tammy also managed the office and supervised employees during their time there. In 2005, they joined The Hartford as a Claims Adjuster, where they gained experience in handling claims. In 2007, they moved to Chesapeake Employers' Insurance Company as a Vocational Claims Adjuster, focusing on vocational rehab and claim resolution. Tammy actively participated in litigation cases and played a role in large loss claim resolution and MSA protocols/initiatives. Tammy then progressed to the role of Workers' Compensation Claims Training Supervisor, where they trained and supervised new claims adjusters, developed training plans, and reduced overall claim costs. Finally, they served as a Workers Compensation Claims Supervisor, leading a unit of Workers' Compensation Adjusters and overseeing the settlement of aged complex claims. Tammy also conducted negotiations and specialized in MSA's, CMS, and complex settlements. Currently, Tammy holds the position of Claims Director for State of Maryland Operations at Chesapeake Employers' Insurance Company.

Tammy Wescott completed their high school education at Harford Christian from 1989 to 1992. Tammy then pursued an Associates of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies at Harford Community College from 2001 to 2003. Later, Tammy Wescott obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2008 to 2011.
