Leonardo Alcantar-Lopez

Leonardo Alcantar-Lopez is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the field of geochemistry and microscopy. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Chesapeake Energy since 2007, Leonardo specializes in scanning electron microscopy and geochemical analysis of core samples, including Total Organic Carbon, Source Rock Analysis, and fluid sensitivity testing, while also overseeing EDX and Cross Section Polisher operations. Prior to this, Leonardo worked as a Chemist at Tronox from 2000 to 2007. Education credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México obtained between 1979 and 1983.
