Ben Fickenscher

Ben Fickenscher, MD MBA, has a diverse work experience. Ben started as a Managing Partner at Chesapeake Emergency Physicians in 2008. In 2012, they became a Community Faculty member at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Additionally, they served as a Board Member at Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation starting in 2014. In the same year, they also joined The Advisory Board Company as a Senior Medical Director, where they provided consulting services and education on Clinical/Physician Documentation Improvement. In 2013, they became the President of the EVMS MD Alumni Board and held the position until 2017. Ben later joined Chesapeake Regional Healthcare in various roles, including President, Medical Staff, and Physician Advisor - CDI/PDI, ICD-10. In 2016, they worked as a Pharmaceutical Consultant for Bristol-Myers Squibb and Pfizer.

Ben Fickenscher, MD MBA, received their Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from William & Mary in 2000. Ben then attended Eastern Virginia Medical School from 2005 to 2008 and earned their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.). Ben also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
