Currently serving as the Diabetes Care Coordinator at Community Volunteers in Medicine since September 2017 and as a Registered Dietitian/Diabetes Educator at Chester County Hospital/Penn Medicine since May 2016, Carla specializes in providing bilingual diabetes self-management education to Spanish-speaking patients with Type 2 or Gestational Diabetes, leading virtual wellness and diabetes prevention groups. Carla's professional journey includes various roles in clinical dietetics, internships, and nutrition consulting, complemented by a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Drexel University and a degree in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Spanish from Wake Forest University.
