Dpa Ashley Pless Mpa

Ashley Pless, DPA, MPA is currently the Director of Human Resources at the Chester Upland School District since February 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Spring Education Group from December 2017 to February 2020 as the Workers Compensation and Safety Supervisor, where they successfully re-envisioned the company's workers compensation, risk mitigation, safety, and compliance functions. From February 2017 to December 2017, Ashley served as a Workers Compensation/LOA Specialist at QVC, where they played a key role in managing HR decision-making and implementing strategies during a period of corporate restructuring and mergers. Before that, they worked at Spectra Food Services from March 2014 to December 2017 as a Cash Room Associate, responsible for cash collection forms and training cashiers. And from August 2013 to February 2017, they were a Human Resource Generalist at the City of Chester, where they focused on improving employee relations, talent acquisition, and HR operations.

Ashley Pless, DPA, MPA, began their education journey at Chester High School from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained their High School Diploma with a focus on College Prep. Ashley then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law from Lincoln University, attending from 2010 to 2013. Moving forward, Ashley continued their studies at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where they obtained a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree from 2013 to 2014, specializing in Human Resource Management with a Certificate. Lastly, they completed their Doctorate of Public Administration at West Chester University of Pennsylvania from 2015 to 2017, with a research focus on Human Resource Management and Administrative Ethics and Law.
