Christopher Hart

Christopher Hart is an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in elementary school administration. Currently serving as the Elementary Principal at Spring Run Elementary School within Chesterfield County Public Schools since August 2007, Hart has received notable accolades including the 2023 State of Virginia PTA Principal of the Year and Chesterfield County PTA Principal of the Year. Under Hart's leadership, Spring Run ES became a nationally recognized PTA School of Excellence, and initiatives such as the county's first elementary STEAM program, innovative literacy instructional redesign, and a successful capital improvement project were implemented. Previous experience includes leading Chalkley Elementary, the largest Title 1 school in the district, and overseeing significant renovations at Cook Hill Elementary in Wallingford Public Schools. Hart holds multiple degrees, including Educational Leadership from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s in Education from Boston University.
