Daniel Cohen

Daniel Cohen is an accomplished professional in urban planning and community development with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of the Department of Community Enhancement for Chesterfield County, Daniel manages a 30-person team focused on code enforcement, housing development, corridor revitalization, and community beautification. Previous positions include Senior Project Manager with the City of Richmond, where several million dollars in funding for affordable housing was leveraged, and Vice President of Acquisitions at Eastern Edge Development, dealing with investment opportunities in the Hampton Roads market. Daniel's earlier career includes significant roles with the City of Atlanta, URS Corporation, and Metropolitan Planning Associates, contributing to a wide range of transportation and urban development projects. Daniel holds two Master's degrees in Urban Planning and Sociology from UCLA and The New School, respectively, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Economics from SUNY Oneonta.
