Douglas Miles

Douglas Miles, AICP, CZA, currently serves as Development Manager for Chesterfield County, overseeing the Development Review section and collaborating with land use attorneys and engineering consultants. Previously, Douglas held the position of Community Development Director in Fluvanna County, supervising a diverse team and managing various planning initiatives, including transportation planning and small business support. Prior experience includes Planning Manager and Zoning Administrator roles in Prince George County, where Douglas engaged in regional planning and zoning enforcement efforts, and a Planner position in Chesterfield County, focused on economic development and community engagement. Douglas holds a degree in Political Science from Penn State University and completed graduate coursework in Planning and Public Administration at Virginia Commonwealth University.
