Emma Woods is an experienced operations manager with a strong background in the hospitality and food and beverage industry. Currently serving as Operations Manager at Chestnut since December 2021, Emma previously held the position of Head of Department for Food and Beverage at Center Parcs from January 2017 to December 2021. Emma's career also includes significant roles at wagamama as both Area Manager and General Manager from August 2005 to July 2016, and as General Manager at TGI Fridays UK from January 2001 to August 2005. Emma holds a BA Hons degree in Geography with Economics from Anglia Ruskin University.

The Chestnut was established in May 2012 by former banker and corporate financier Philip Turner, who had the vision to create a family of hostelries, under the Chestnut umbrella, which would defy pigeon-holing into the standard classifications of pub, hotel or restaurant, but be simply synonymous with a great experience. The group’s continued development strategy is to identify and purchase freehold sites in the East Anglian region, which as a result of under capital investment, are not delivering their full potential.
