Cheng Chen

Cheng Chen is a seasoned professional in process engineering with over a decade of experience in key roles at Chevron and Shell. Currently serving as a Senior Process Engineering/Process Engineering Advisor at Chevron since February 2014, Cheng Chen leads initiatives focused on process optimization for lower carbon emissions, waste heat utilization, and greenhouse gas reduction. Cheng Chen also coaches and mentors process engineers and fosters team development. Prior to this role, Cheng Chen worked as an Advisor, optimizing employee placement and supporting measurement and lab operations. With a strong background in separation science developed during tenure as a Senior Separation Scientist, Cheng Chen pioneered novel membrane-based technologies. Before joining Chevron, Cheng Chen was a Scientist at Shell, where R&D initiatives centered on lubricant formulation and led innovative projects. Academic credentials include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University.
