Gabriel Carvajal

Gabriel Carvajal is a Machine Learning Engineer at Chevron since July 2020, specializing in large-scale anomaly detection for artificial lift equipment using Azure technologies and Docker. Gabriel contributed to the development of a proof of concept for a retrieval-augmented generation chatbot utilizing Azure OpenAI. Previously, Gabriel held positions as a Software Engineer, leading a full stack web application development team, and as an Associate Software Engineer, focusing on full stack development with technologies such as .NET and Angular. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate Machine Learning Engineer at Kmeleon, where Gabriel worked on an AI-driven digital voice assistant, and conducting undergraduate research on sentiment analysis. Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Science in Data Science from Valparaiso University, with a minor in Political Science, and participated as a Division 1 tennis player while at NCAA.
