Garry Tan

Garry Tan is a seasoned safety and risk engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the Lead Safety & Risk Engineer for Chevron's Gorgon MCP projects since August 2021. Garry's role includes overseeing technical safety for onshore and offshore design and execution within the Jansz Io Compression and related projects. Additionally, Garry works as a Technical Safety Consultant at GTRC, providing expertise for various projects including the ExxonMobil PNG BESS FEED Project. Prior experience includes positions at Wood as a Principal Technical Safety Engineer, where Garry supported the Gorgon MCPs, and KBR/Granherne as a Senior Safety & Risk Engineer. Garry holds a BEng (Hons) in Oil & Gas and a BSc in Chemistry & Applied Mathematics from The University of Western Australia.
