Ian Mitchell

Ian Mitchell is an experienced mechanical engineering professional currently serving as the Mechanical Commissioning Team Lead at Chevron since October 2020. Prior to this role, Ian held positions as the System Completion Interface Lead and Mechanical Construction & Completion Engineer at Chevron, where responsibilities included leading teams for system completion processes and overseeing mechanical construction activities for complex projects. Notably, Ian contributed as a Subsea Engineer for significant projects such as Lianzi and Alder, focusing on the coordination of subsea equipment fabrication and installation. Earlier experience includes project engineering at Aquatic Engineering & Construction Ltd and a student engineer role at ECOSSE Subsea Systems Limited. Ian holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen, along with qualifications in Electronic Engineering and various higher-level subjects from Banff and Buchan College and Turriff Academy.
