Eric Eckel

Eric Eckel, CPP, MSME, is an IT Expert in Threat Intelligence & Regulatory Affairs at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company since January 2010, where responsibilities include assisting in the development of IT security strategies and facilitating integration of security solutions. Additionally, Eckel serves as an Adjunct Professor at Sam Houston State University since August 2021. Previous roles at KBR, Inc. from June 2003 to January 2010 include Senior Manager for Corporate Security, overseeing Global Crisis Management, and Country Security Manager for the Middle East, managing security for a diversified workforce. Prior to KBR, Eckel served with the Houston Police Department and Harris County Jail System, holding various positions including Officer, Instructor, and Deputy Sheriff. Eckel holds a Master’s Degree in Security Management from the University of Houston-Downtown and has various criminal justice degrees from other institutions.
