Cynthia Karabush has a strong background in education and library services, currently serving as a Teacher In the Library at the Chicago Public Library Foundation since February 2023. Active in various organizations, Cynthia is a member of the Sherlock Holmes Scion Organizations and the Jane Austen Society of North America. As a volunteer docent for the Chicago Architecture Center, Cynthia leads public and private tours. Extensive experience includes judging for the National Engineers Week Future City Competition and serving on the Abraham Lincoln IL High School Book Award Selection Committee. Cynthia has also contributed as a library media specialist and co-sponsor for various clubs at Grayslake North High School and Grayslake Central High School. Educational qualifications include a Master of Library and Information Science from Dominican University and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Design from Penn State University.

Since then, CAF has grown to become one of the largest cultural organizations inChicago. For more than 50 years, our 450 volunteer docents and our educators have shared the stories of Chicago architecture with millions of Chicagoans and visitors. In 2016, CAF served more than 670,000 people.
