P. Marie O'Brien currently serves as the Parish Administrator at Grace Lutheran Church in Evanston since February 2013 and has been a Docent for the Chicago Architecture Foundation since 2012. Previous experience includes a role as Development Consultant at Sue Duncan Children's Center in 2012, and a range of positions related to violence prevention programs at Thousand Waves Martial Arts & Self-Defense Center from 2003 to 2011, culminating in the role of Director of Violence Prevention Programs. P. Marie O'Brien also served as an Adjunct Professor of English at St. Augustine College from 2000 to 2002, and held various roles at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, including Manager of Science Outreach from 1994 to 2000. Additionally, P. Marie O'Brien taught drumming and movement at Chiaravalle Montessori School in 1999. P. Marie O'Brien holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Chicago.

In 2016, CAF served more than 670,000 people.
