Melvin Bridgmon is an experienced professional in both business and nonprofit sectors. As the Proprietor of Legacy Floors LLC since December 2020, Melvin specializes in the professional stripping, waxing, and restoration of vinyl tile and wood floors. Concurrently, Melvin serves as the President of Outreach Chicago since March 2017, leading various community initiatives. In addition, Melvin has been a Primary Site Leader with Chicago Cares since March 2010, overseeing project management and resource allocation. Previously, Melvin held the role of CEO and then President at Thomas Bridgmon Outreach Ministries from November 2008 to December 2020, managing operations and community engagement in the Chicagoland area. Volunteer work with the Greater Chicago Food Depository and military service in the United States Navy as a boilerman further complement Melvin's extensive background. Academically, Melvin holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Governors State University and an Associate in Arts from Olive-Harvey College.
