Kris Cheung

Kris joins Chicago International Charter School as the Chief Executive Officer after spending over three years as the Chief Operating Officer at KIPP Texas Public Schools, where he lead the integration of four KIPP regions in Texas serving over 34,000 students across 59 schools.

Prior to KIPP Texas, Kris was the Chief Operations Officer at Success Academy Charter Schools in New York City, where he opened 40 schools across seven years while in various operations leadership roles. Kris also held various leadership roles at the Waldorf-Astoria and Hyatt Hotels and Resorts.

He has a Masters degree in Public Policy and Administration from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the California State University in Pomona, California.
