Ebony Johnson (formerly Jones) has a diverse work experience in human resources, spanning multiple companies and roles. Ebony most recently served as the Director of Human Resources at the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership starting in June 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at the University of Chicago from July 2022 to June 2023. Before that, they held the position of Director of Human Resources at Elevate from June 2019 to August 2022. Ebony'sprevious experience includes various roles at Family Health Network, starting as a Human Resources Assistant in November 2012 and advancing to Senior Manager of Human Resources from May 2017 to June 2019. Ebony also worked at Menards as an HR Coordinator from November 2009 to November 2012.
Ebony Johnson (formerly Jones) pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Human Resources Management and Services from the University of Illinois Chicago. Ebony started their education journey in 2003 and successfully completed it in 2006.

The Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership (The Partnership) is a non-profit umbrella organization operating the public workforce system for the City of Chicago and Cook County. The Partnership combines federal and philanthropic resources to provide comprehensive workforce development services to employers and job seekers. As the largest public workforce development system in the nation, The Partnership has helped place more than 70,000 individuals in employment; collaborated with more than 2,000 employers; and administered more than $400 million in federal and philanthropic funds. The Partnership’s network consists of 90+ community-based organizations, American Job Centers, satellite sites and sector-driven centers, serving more than 140,000 people annually.
