John Goode

John Goode is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in software development and engineering management. Currently serving as the Director of Baseball Systems for the Chicago Cubs since November 2022, John previously held the position of Software Development Manager at Amazon, where responsibilities included leading a team to enhance Amazon Advertising products through machine learning and data analytics. As VP of Engineering at Topstep, John oversaw software engineering and data functions, significantly expanding team size and establishing strategic departmental changes to improve performance and cloud capabilities. Prior roles include Solution Principal at Slalom Consulting, where project oversight and internal development were key focus areas, and Consultant at Deloitte Consulting with expertise in public sector technology solutions. John began a career in technology with internships at Bank of America and Calamos Investments while earning a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
