Mark Basta

Mark Basta, EIT, is an experienced soccer coach and civil engineer. Currently, at Chicago Fire FC, Mark serves as the U12s Soccer Head Coach and has held positions with U9s and U8s teams, developing tactical skills and leading coaching sessions for various age groups in the YSSL league. In the field of engineering, Mark works as an Engineer II at R.M. Chin & Associates, where responsibilities include field inspection for the I-55 Pavement Rehabilitation project and oversight of complex improvement initiatives. Previous engineering roles include Structural Designer at ATMI Precast and Structural Engineer I at Structural Enginuity, with a focus on structural calculations and design using specialized software. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago and possesses diverse educational experience from institutions in Egypt and the United States.
