Erica Griffin

Public and Community Engagement Manager at Chicago History Museum

Erica Griffin began their work experience in 2006 as a Fee Based Programs Manager at the Museum of Discovery and Science. From 2009 to 2011, they served as the Life Skills Initiative Coordinator at the Proviso Leyden Center for Community Action. In 2011, they became a Docent at The Oriental Institute Museum until 2013. In 2013, they joined the DuSable Museum of African American History, initially as an Education Sales and Marketing Coordinator. Erica then took on roles as the Educational Services Manager, Associate Director for Membership and Volunteer Services, and eventually became the Director of Education until 2020. Currently, they are the Public and Community Engagement Manager at the Chicago History Museum, a position they have held since February 2020.

Erica Griffin has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Physical and Biological Anthropology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The duration of their education at this institution is not specified.
